Bilateral Base is a secure, browser-based platform designed to support qualified mental health professionals in the delivery of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. The platform includes visual, auditory, and tactile bilateral stimulation (BLS) tools that digitally replicate the sensory cues commonly used by therapists in face-to-face EMDR sessions—such as hand movements, alternating sounds or tapping.
These tools are provided for the sole purpose of enabling therapists to deliver standard EMDR protocols remotely or in a face-to-face setting, under their direct supervision and clinical judgement. Bilateral Base does not diagnose, monitor, or treat any medical or psychological condition, nor does it make decisions or recommendations related to clinical care.
The platform is intended for use only by qualified professionals delivering therapy within the boundaries of their own clinical training and licensing. Clients do not interact with the system independently, and no therapeutic outcomes are generated by the software itself.
